Family farm day
After many gentle nudges, we are now finally ready to welcome our local families to the farm for a monthly Family Farm Day. Come and spend time in nature with a likeminded community enjoying this beautiful space.

What to Expect
These sessions are flexible and fluid to the needs of the group but as a rough guide to how the sessions might unfold...

We will gather down at The Hideout for a welcome, introduction, short health and safety briefing and opportunity to ask questions.

We will then head up to the paddock together to meet the alpacas, including the babies (cria). We will spend some time simply being with the alpacas and there will be an opportunity for the kids (and grown ups of course!) to ask questions.

After warming up by the fire, hand washing and snacks (pleas bring your own), we'll then venture down to the woodland for some stream paddling, den building and the children can play in the outdoor play area (mud kitchen, slide, tuff tray etc). We have some hammocks and picnic benches down at the stream for parents enjoyment.

We’ll then wander back to The Hideout to warm up round the fire, toast some marshmallows and enjoy some hot drinks for the grown ups.

We'll have card games, table tennis, nature crafts etc. available for those who would like to continue their play.

Hand washing and bathroom facilities available at The Hideout.

Please note, parents must stay with and supervise their children at all times. The walking route to the woodland is not suitable for prams, so we recommend baby carriers.
